Directed by Baltimore stalwart Skizz Cyzyk, this video for Beach House's “You Came to Me” (off the upcoming Devotion, out February 26 on Carpark), does visually what the duo manages with its albums- to create something dense and layered out of a few simple elements. The piece was shot in an old Baltimore church, with gold streamers covering any religious relics that might otherwise be visible. Note that Alex Scally is leaning on a crutch in the last few scenes. Probably no hidden meaning there, as he legitimately needs the thing- he had it when we went down to Baltimore, blaming it on a stress fracture from running.
